#About Chess (2023)
“Chhattisgarh Entrepreneurship and Startup Summit 2023 (CHESS
2023)”- is a national level event to sensitize, energize and
strengthen the startup network in Chhattisgarh. This event is
being organized in association with Startup India and Startup
Chhattisgarh. CHESS will be an annual summit event, a platform
for startups & entrepreneurs and associated ecosystem
stakeholders. CHESS 2023 will be held at the sprawling Rungta
Educational Campus Bhilai, (CG) on 22 and 23 Septemeber 2023.
For the Summit this year, we hope to bring about 40+ investors
(VC’s, Angels, Individual investors). We expect about 1000 plus
startup project entries. There will be active participation of
banks, financial institutions, govt. departments too.
The best startup ideas will get a chance to Pitch their business
idea to investors. Check the site for last dates for submission.
For startups, financial institutions, relevant govt departments,
and incubators there will be a large exhibition to showcase
their projects, investment instruments, government schemes, and
incubation facilities.
The event will be packed with knowledge sessions by successful
entrepreneurs and investors as well as there will be pitching
sessions and workshops in select key technologies/domains.
The sectoral theme for the summit this year will be
“agriculture, food processing, and related areas”. The entries
will nevertheless not be limited to this sector alone. The
selection of this theme is to amplify the state’s thrust on this
sector.

Incubator (RuBI)
Rungta Educational Foundation has established an Incubation
Cell known as Rungta Business Incubator (RuBI) on the campus
to foster Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Also, a separate
Campus Company by the name of Rungta College Technology
Business Incubator has been incorporated under Indian
Companies Act to take care of the activities of RUBI. Rungta
College Technology Business Incubator is popularly known as
Rungta Business Incubator (RuBI).
RUBI (Rungta Business Incubator), is a logical extension of
these efforts and a testimony of our commitment to creating
a start-up ecosystem within our campus and the state of
Chhattisgarh. It is a state-of-the-art platform, complete
with all support systems, that helps grow innovations and
creative ideas into successful enterprises. Our institute
has always nurtured entrepreneurship, through interventions
like TEDx talks, entrepreneurship forums, EDP training,
technical events, and supporting student-led creative
initiatives like Print Pay and Toodle.
#Investor Meet
The Investor Meet will be a vibrant gathering where
promising startups will get an opportunity to pitch
their innovative ideas in front of a diverse panel of
eager investors. Passionate entrepreneurs will be able
to showcase their groundbreaking products, disruptive
technologies, and unique business models, captivating
the audience with their potential for growth and market
impact. We expect a number of startups to get funded
during the event this year.
We sincerely urge and appeal to VC’s, HNI’s and

payment basis.
